lua compilation

I build lua in debug ,it is ok with debug app. the lua lib builded under debug is seem to be not able to be used in release build app. when I build lua in release , and use it, when I compile app ,many unsolved symbol LNK2001 error if I use debug lua lib, no LNK2001 error. how to do?
