Transparent Copy Rects

Actually you can,

Just use D3DX8CopySurfaceFromSurface.

It has a source and dest rect parameters and it will preserve your colorkeys that have already been set in your source and apply them in the destination rect.

Pretty neat call.

hehehe, i wasen''t kidding

i use D3DX8copysurfacefromsurface all the time, works great.
i noticed it kept the color key, that part is not described in the docs but it does.

readup on it in the DX8 docs.
