Starting OpenGL

I''ve tried some of Nehe''s tutorials and they work great (I''ve got a P366 with GeforceDDR) except that after you''ve changed screen resolution the game window is not visible for a second ot two, the only thing you see is the desktop (only in 640x480) and then the game starts. This is a bit irritating since my desktop icons gets all messed up everytime I start an OpenGL demo. I''ve used directdraw to change the resolution before and I don''t get that kind of problem there. Can somebody give me some help, please?

And assign a black brush to the window (in the hbrBackground member of the WNDCLASS structure).

Well... at least I don''t see the desktop after I''ve changed videomode but my icons still gets messed up!
Maybe this has anything to do with me still using Win95?
