No floating point color in fixed function pipeline?

Hi all, I am just looking at the FVF and the only color option is D3DDECLTYPE_D3DCOLOR, which I believe is a DWORD. Does this mean there is no support for floating point color in the fixed function pipeline? Thanks

hmm, D3DDECLTYPE_* is for a vertex declaration which typically goes with the programmable pipeline.

If you want to pass floating point colours through, try using D3DDECLTYPE_FLOAT4 and a usage of D3DDECLUSAGE_COLOR. I've not tried it myself, but it should work fine with shaders - I doubt it will with the FF though.

Anyway - what are you trying to do with HDRI/FP texturing in the FF?
