does anyone know where to get the Intel Pentium IV SSE2 instruction set. and yes i know you can get it from the Intel site, but last time i check it was password protected. thanx for any positive replies. To the vast majority of mankind, nothing is more agreeable than to escape the need for mental exertion... To most people, nothing is more troublesome than the effort of thinking.

[although the download server seems to be running a bit slow]

Password protected parts of the Intel site are for things like the early access programme (i.e. prototypes for professional developers, unreleased information etc). SSE2 is publically available.

The training section of the Intel DRG site (Developer Relations Group):

http://cedar.intel.com/cgi-bin/ids.dll/topic.jsp?catCode=BKK

Have a sniff around there. Also have a look at the link I posted above. There''s some pretty good tutorials available on those sites.

There are also some excellent training resources which come with the VTune profiler and with the Intel C/C++ compiler.
