Sorry for the cheesy pun but I wanted to know this... i'm pondering between developing a game for the pocketpc platform instead of windows98/me/2000 but is it worth it? PRO Less complicated OS More coverage due to a smaller software pool Rewarding to push the hardware to the limits CON Lacking OS Smaller audience Challenging to push the hardware Instead of using directx, the pocketpc api is called 'gapi' it would be a completely new direction to go into.. would it be worth it though - what do you think? CE or not CE ?

First question I would like to ask you is have you programmed a game before ? If the answer is yes then what was the maximum size of the game ?

Secondly can you push towards less than 1mb size of the game - well its hard but you will have to be extremely stingy when it comes to memory and there is no question of memory leak.

Well as things are going it seems to be worth it, but if you have programmed only 1 or 2 games on win9x/2k I advise you to program one or 2 more games and get used to loading pictures and stuffs from compressed formats.
