I have a few fonts on bitmaps that I''d like to use in my console. The fon''t seems to reduce fine to 2 bits, a mere 8k. However, I''m at a loss as to how I would actually use that as a texture. Will I have to upsample the image to 8 bit to use? Many thanks Chris

u will have to feed opengl 8bit data (GL_LUMINANCE). though u can store it on the harddisk in 2bits what u need to do is when u load the data in is ''flesh out'' the 2bits to 8 bits.
request a internal GL_LUMINANCE4 file format when u load them to save on card memory( u mightnt get it though )
