casting issue with vs8

ok. i enter: Mesh->CloneMesh (D3DXMESH_32BIT|D3DXMESH_DYNAMIC, D3DFVF_XYZ, Device, &Mesh2); and i get: c:\\\\\*.cpp(27) : error C2664: 'ID3DXMesh::CloneMesh' : cannot convert parameter 2 from 'int' to 'const D3DVERTEXELEMENT9 *' Conversion from integral type to pointer type requires reinterpret_cast, C-style cast or function-style cast how do i get around this? casting didn't seem to work. cheers
