non-overlapping bounding boxes woes

hi there! I am trying to find out if there is a good way to solve this problem: Suppose I have several 3D bounding boxes, scattered and oriented around the world, such that the viewport can see some of these boxes. Now imagine if you see these boxes in screen space. It would probably look like a convex hull. I need to organize these bounding boxes(convex hulls) into several batches, such that each batch cannot have a bounding box that overlaps another in screen space. thx! Edwin
