Cal3D Help

I'm working on integrating Cal3D in my project, and I have it working fine. The problem I'm running into now is the speed with which it updates/renders. When I run the CallyDemo, it runs at ~600 fps for the skeleton model, but in my project it only runs at around 40 fps. In profiling it looks like over half the execution time is spent in the getVertices / getNormals calls. The problem is similar to the one discussed in this thread http://www.gamedev.net/community/forums/topic.asp?topic_id=278635 Has anyone familiar with Cal3D run into the same problem? Thanks -Shane

I integrated Cal3D into my own project about 2 years ago and had no problems with speed at all. Are you sure VSync isn't on in your app?

Alright, well I realized that using hardware is the best way to skin the models, but now I have another question.

How frequently do you call the update function for the models?
