Hi all. I am trying to develop the AI for a hide and seek game in Visual C++ but I am uncertain on how to include a knowledge base in first order logic (some prolog like, declarative language). Any quick way to do this? Do I need to write my own parser? :-(( How do usually AI systems combine procedural and declarative needs? Thanks a bunch.

C++ is not a logic language so you shouldn't try to use it as one. Instead of writing your own Prolog interpreter, integrate your C++ code with a Prolog engine. There are several free ones that you can use that include packages for linking with C.

Google for SWI-prolog, it's a free prolog that it's quite easy to integrate with C++ code
