By september this year i will need to decide what I want to study at university. I enjoy programming OpenGL stuff and I like physics (more the mechanics side, particle physics). But I don't know what course to study, I have looked at a BCs Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Science with AI. Hell i have even considered doing a BCs in Maths, or doing electronic engineering. I don't think i have the stomach for BSc physics, its a lot of work. Basically my dream would be to program like this freakin elite physics enginer, something like farcry. But to do this i need to understand physics. http://spy.nodespace.net

A BSc in physics is no more work than any other BSc (well, I'm not including Psych but I'm assuming you're not going for your MRS here). If you're interested in physics, study physics. A lot of Big Name programming gurus seem to be physics grads.

Study what gives you the most pleasure. Life is short: make it wide.

Once you have your BSc, you have the foundation to teach yourself anything you fancy, including 3D game programming. The most valuable thing you learn while obtaining a university degress is how to teach yourself difficult subjects.

Hi dawidjoubert.

I'm a little confused by this, seeing as how I live in the UK (London) and have already applied to all my choices. Are you going to apply Route B? Because Science related courses don't exist in Route B, it's for Art based courses.

Maybe some more info might help. ;)
