Help on putting image inside a cube

Hi all, I'm new in 3D programming and i would like to create my own environment in 3D. Here is the task that i need to do: i have 4 images: bottom, left, right, front, which i would like to map it inside a 3D transparent cube, hence i can see the inside from outside. Can anyone help me with the idea? Thank you. Wilson

Hey Wilson,

What you want to do sounds like a skybox to me. However, I do not really understand the "see the inside from outside" kinda thing... Does not it mean that you want to map the textures on the exterior of your cube, and make them transparent ?

You could make it just like a regular cube, with the textures on the outside, then reverse the vertex order ofd each triangle. If you are using culling, it will only draw the triangles on the inside.
