[web] PHP upload file limit...
Alright, for the server that I'm developing a website on the php.ini has a max upload of 2mb... We need to be able to upload through the browser 8-10mb audio/video files. Is there anyway to get around the upload limit? Can I split the file before uploading, do it through ftp (but within the browser)?
Basically I want it easy for the users... click browse and select the file and upload. I don't want them mucking around with FTP (at least not locally).
Is there a way to use PHPs FTP functions to initiate and transfer the file? Or is this still limited by the php.ini file (which I can't edit)?
What host are you using? Some host allow you to edit values via .htaccess while some allow you to override settings by placing a php.ini in the same directory (for .htaccess, place "php_value name value").
I can't be specifically helpful but there is a config file in the apache server directory that contains then default upload limit. Scope that out.
