Hi to all, i am using delphi vcl components in my game and want to use my own colors in a tedit control. I make a TCustomEdit and redraw it with the WM_PAINT message. Everything works fine but the selected text has also the clHighLight and clHighLightText colors. How can i change this without setting the global parameters of windows ? Also, i have tried to use the WM_CTLCOLOREDIT message but here i get many problems...any examples ??? The SDK to WM_CTLCOLOREDIT says you should return the brush object with contents the background color, but the selected text will not drawn with this message. Think there must be a other (have not found anything) message handler... Does anyone know a solution or has a better idea ? Sure it is possible to write my own control but it is better and faster to use the standard windows control... Thanks, Harald
