The link works fine and so does the musicality. :) Nicely done.
I wanted to make it into a link so people won't have to copy and paste :)

Are you going to the GDC?

Thanks,
Sean

if you type it in like this

a href="http://www.seanbeeson.com/mp3s/Desert%20Eagle%20Siege.mp3">Desert Eagle Siege</a

and put another "<" at the beginning and a ">" at the end it will look like this:

Desert Eagle Siege

I like the teaser piece. But something struck me as odd. There's a clear part where the orchestra builds up to a very large crescendo... I don't know too much of the limitations of large file libraries like the ones you have access to, but it sounds like the volume is simply being turned up over a repeated passage. You know what I mean? It doesn't sound like an orchestra building to a crescendo where you can tell that they are playing harder and harder to reach that climax. It's more like they are playing the same line and someone is simply turning a knob.

The rest sounds fantastic and once again I'm envious of your sample collection and your obvious ability to use that collection effectively.

I can't make it to GDC this year, shame since The Soul Keeper is being showcased there in the first ever IGF Mod competition.

In what capacity are you going to be there, Sean? As a rep?

Tony
Oh boy, I would love to go to GDC...

My main funds right now are contributing towards my college fund so probably not, unless a miracle happens.

Have you been before?

I see Michael Giacchino will be giving a keynote address on the relevance of music in the role of multimedia...I really wish I could catch that.
Believe it or not, in that passage, I am using all the velocities of the samples. Perhaps I could have tweaked the volume a little too much :)!

This will be my first time to the GDC.

Hi Sean

I listen to loads of music on this and many forums but I rarely reply (because Im too lazy :P ), But this is really cool music, i like it a lot!
Nice varaition of sounds and very dynamic, love the change after the crescendo - its making me dance

I also noticed that the crescendo sounded a bit unnatural, but I think its not very noticable. It occurs on the notes that are repeated several times in quick succession, so perhaps using a sample of the same pitch/velocity from a different patch would change it /if/ these are actually the same sample being trigged.

Short but sweet.

Beautiful work - very expressive and realistic. This is the same as "Desert Eagle Storm" in the GANG competition? I had narrowed it down to the top few pieces, and yours was one of them. In the end, I had to vote for myself (Nafasak Kaseer). :) Good luck in the competition. I'll most likely see you at GDC. (1st time for me too).
