Fonts, Localization , and the 360
A simple question. How did you support localized fonts on your XBox 360 title? What library did you use for your multibyte text rendering?
I'd imagine the developer support at Microsoft might be able to better handle this type of question :).
Just looking to hear what libraries people used for their fonts. Like SDL or Crazy Eddie.
Whether they used the frowned upon bitmap fonts... What they used for 2d and 3d text rendering for the XBox.

Microsoft provides 2 libraries to XBox Devs. XFont, which is basically D3DXFont for the XBox, and FontCache I think is the other one. That might not be the exact name for it...I can't remember. It streams characters from disk into a texture cache when they are needed.
Effects? I've never needed to do anything other than just render text and scroll it, so I can't really help you there :)
