Adding resources in Visual C++ Express Beta 2

How do I add resources? I right-clicked on my project name and went to "Add", but the option is grayed out. Do I need to get some other program to add resources or what? Obviously I don't know how to do it manually, so keep in mind that you're talking to someone who is just a little bit stupid.
I am using Visual Studio Express 2005 non beta and it told me that Resource Editing is not supported on the Visual Studio Express SKU.
There could be a 3rd party editor out there that can write .RC files, however you can do it yourself if your patient enough because there just text files. The MSDN might have some info how to do this.
