DirectX Lines coming out broken

So I haven't worked with DirectX in a while. I'm working with MDX 2.0, and attempting to draw a set of axes around the other stuff I'm drawing. The problem is, the lines are totally broken, like so: Any ideas offhand what the problem could be?

Are you only drawing the lines, or is there other stuff in the scene? Can we see your rendering code? It's hard to say without it. It could be any number of things.
Do the lines flicker at all (If the camera is stationary)?

Second attempt: have you turned off all textures? And set a single-color material?
