Alternate landscapes

They use some form of continuous level of detail. Look into ROAM and quadtree''s to learn how to do it.

Hmmm... ok, just thought it might be a bit more complicated than that. ROAM seems too easy.

Tribes 1 uses quadtrees (dunno about tribes 2)
So it''s heightmaps for tribes 1 (same, I dunno about tribes 2, looks similar though)
