I just wanted to know, are string tables part of MFC or not? I know that MFC is not a good thing to use because it is archaic or obsolete. (I know they mean the same thing). Thanks

String tables are not part of MFC, although MFC does have some nice functions to interface with them. String tables are just part of a Windows resource script, which can be read and interpreted from C. Their main purpose is to get your strings out of your code and into a place where a localization team can translate them into different languages (rather than having linguists rooting through your code). I use them at work, but it's definitely not worth your while to put everything in a string table for a home project.
