Problem loading VB tutorial program

Hello all, I've found Jack Hoxley's Visual Basic DirectX tutorials very useful. But I have a problem loading the tutorial programs. When I try to load the program I get an error message: " 'Retained' is an invalid key. The file .... can't be loaded." I'm using Visual Basic 5 on Windows XP home. Does anyone have any ideas? He wrote it in VB6. Down convert the project file.

More specifically, open up the project file in notepad and remove the line 'Retained=0', save and it should work fine.
