GLSL vertex textures under RM

Is there any possible way to have Render Monkey use a FP32 texture as a target type? I am using 1.6 and looks like my texture look ups in my vertex shader are running software mode due to rgba8 type. I have GL_NEAREST set in RM also. Thanks
