Texture repetition looking strange

Whenever I texture a square with coordinates (0,0), (0,1), (1,0), (1,1) it seems like if it was textured with coordinates (-0.01,-0.01), (-0.01,1.01), (1.01,-0.01), (1.01,1.01) - a small part of the texture is repeated at each edge all the time. For example if I make a skybox, and have mountains at the bottom and sky at the top, then I get a bit of sky at the bottom where the bottom and side pieces join, and a bit of mountains where the side pieces meet the top piece. I'm wondering if anyone else has seen this behavior in applications made using Direct3D9. As for solutions: should I instead of repeating texture adressing mode use clamp adressing mode, and if so how do I set it up? Could texture filtering mode have anything to do with it? Any other paramters that I should manually set to something else than their default values?

Set clamping, it will make the problem invisible with a good skybox.
