double scissor test

1) Is it possible to have two scissor tests at the same time ? So that everything that is not inside one of the 2 scissor rectangles is cut away. 2) Say you have a scene of 1024x768, and you draw the whole scene using a scissor test : glScissor(10, 10, 50, 50); Only the small rectangle shows up on the screen. But is this faster that just drawing the whole scene without scissor test ?

No, you cannot have two scissor rects. if you want anything more complex than a single rect, you can either render twice with separate scissors, or render once and use the stencil test for an abritrary clip region.

Rendering with the scissor enabled is potentially faster but it depends on your bottleneck. If you are vertex limited it probably wont make a difference. If you are fill/shader limited, scissor helps because you have fewer fragments to process.
