I have a need to rename a prebuilt assembly. (Output from 2.0's SGen.exe if you're curious.) I can't seem to find any feasible way to rename the actual assembly, in terms of metadata, not just renaming the file. I have very little control over how it's built in the first place. Anybody know a way to make this work?

We need to have serializers for several types in the system. SGen.exe takes our main assembly and optionally a type, and spits out a new assembly named [MainAssembly].Serializers.dll. If you don't give it a type, it makes serializers for all types in the main assembly, which is not appropriate. The problem is that each run of SGen with a different type produces an assembly with the same name. I'd like to reference each generated assembly (about four or five total), but of course you can't reference different assemblies that have the same name. Renaming the files doesn't cut the mustard, alas.

If I have to I can probably take the generated code and manually build an uber-assembly, but that's a little hackish. :/
