Are the (u,v) values in the functions that define the energy constraints the paper simply the texture coordinates of the mesh? If not how - would I compute them for an unstretched planar mesh? Regards, -Dirk

As he says in the paper (Large Steps in Cloth Simulation) the (u,v) values would make good texture coordinates, though you can't just apply any arbitrary texture coords and expect to get good energy conditions.

If you have a sheet mesh in the xy-plane, say, the (u,v) values for each vertex should be the (x,y) values (you could normalize these, though you could achieve the same effect by scaling the k value).
