Hiya I have tried to set up SDL on my machine 5 times now, and not one of them have worked, and those 5 times were with 5 different tutorials. The best I ever got was the whole thing compiling and then Windows closing the program for some reason (when that message box comes up saying "Windows has Encountered a Problem"). I've tried with MS Visual C++ (learning edition), Microsoft Visual C++ Express edition and now Bloodshed Dev-C++ 4.9.8.0. Can anyone explain how to make this work: As I said above I'm using Bloodshed Dev-C++, I've used the tutorial here: http://lazyfooproductions.com/SDL_tutorials/lesson01/windows/devcpp/index.php I've been getting these errors:
make.exe C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\My Documents\Programming\C++\SDL\SDL_Tutorial 2\make.exe
Circular code <- code.o dependency dropped.

 C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\My Documents\Programming\C++\SDL\SDL_Tutorial 2\Makefile.win
[Build Error]  [SDL_Tutorial.exe] Error 1
