I'm starting to get good at C++ and want to start moving in the SDL/MFC/OpenGL direction and figure it's time to get a new compiler. I'm been using DevC++ and want to get a Visual C++ compiler. Anyone know of one that won't cost me an arm and a legor possibly free?

Seconded, although you won't be able to use MFC with it. Not a huge loss if you ask me.

You can do SDL/OpenGL just fine on DevC++, in fact it makes it very easy with the devpak system.
