Ok, im working on somthing similar to a raytracer. After a frame is finished rendering i basically have a large bitmap that i need to dump to the screen. I need a way to dump these large bitmaps to the screen(800x600) at a rate of at least 60 fps and it needs to be cross platform compatable. With the capablility to go all the way up to 1600x1200 if i want it to. Yes, I know its not possible to run at 1600x1200x24bit @60fps on todays machines, but i want the capability when the machines have the power. Maybe even run in windowed mode ... Don''t worry about how much processor the raytracer takes. Its not what you think it is. How would you do what i want in OpenGL? I think you could use GL_POINTS but that seems like it would have alot of overhead that would not be necessary. any ideas? Thanks in advance
