I start a new project (Win32 Console Application, Windows Application), and when I compile it I get the error: "fatal error C1083: Cannot open precompiled header file: 'Debug\TEST3.pch': No such file or directory" (TEST3 is the name of my project) I don't have a TEST3.pch...and whatever the name of the project is, it will always put that name .pch. It does this every time I try to make a Windows Application. Does anyone know what I could be doing wrong?

When you create a new project, the last window before it creates will have a tab for "Application Settings". You want to click "Empty Project". Right now it's looking for a precompiled header that doesn't exist.

When you create the application and the dialog box comes up, set the application settings not to use precompiled headers. You should be able to change this in the project settings as well. It's one of the options in the C++ section of the settings. I suggest you take a look here.
