Scrolling

Can anyone tell me how to scroll sprites,text or even the screen?

This is one of the subjects in game programming that HAS always bugged me.

Any advice will be appreciated

Take a look at Diana Gruber's Action Arcade Adventure Set, which you can read online at that link. Many of the implementation details are outdated (the book is 5 years old), but the techniques are sound and should give you some good ideas.
