Hey guys I was wondering if anyone knew if there was a way to replace the common dialog controls in windows XP? The reasoning is that I would love to implement a simple database driven filesystem to run ontop of the current filesystem. The only way for something like this to be useful, I would need to make some changes to the common dialog box that is brought up by default by most programs for saving and loading. Is this even feasible? Maybe I just have to wait for windows to do it for me... I just thought that it would be a fun/practicle exercize. I would only want to save documents, music, movies, etc in the database. No need for including program/system files. I was hoping that it would be a simple matter of replacing one of the dlls in windows, and make sure that the one I replace it with has all of the necessary functions available. I am assuming this is going to be way harder than it's worth, but i figured I'd see if anyone knows anything about how to do it just incase.
