Hi. I can't find much in the way of tutorials on how to define my own syntax highlighting in a KDE text widget. I take it to mean this is difficult. Should I pursue this or use e.g. Scintilla?

This is not really difficult - if you can change the edit style in your text widget then you can do anything you want. But I still suggest you to use an existing widget - why reinventing the wheel? You have better things to do, right? [smile]
