prolly the worse question ive aasked online, + im embarassed to ask but ... ok ive downloaded it (the free edition) which does look nice (once youve disabled everything :) ) i can build a simple app (but how on earth do i execute it!!) the build menu has no excute function, ive looked through the keyboard commands, the toolbars, nothing. i can step through the code with a debugger. ideally what i want is the same as all other IDEs once keyboard button the build out of date files + execute the program. the included help is much help. zed :)

Click 'Run without Debugging' or simply navigate to My Documents/Visual Studio 2005 Projects/Projects/NameOfProject/NameOfProject/Bin/Release, or something similar. Are you sure you could build the program? Native C++? Or did you simply use the 'template' created when the program is made, just asking, because you might need the PSDK (Platform SDK)

Click 'Run without Debugging'
thanks i see it now, (start without debugging) its under the debug menu for some strange reason, where it should be contained under project or even possibly contained under build.

You can move the command onto a toolbar by going to Tools->Customize->Commands and dragging-and-dropping the icon.
