Anyone knows any tutorials or books on OpenGL that covers creating opengl programs with SDL and not windows api? Also, I was thinking of ordering three DirectX books because that api seems interesting and good to use for both 2d and 3d games. http://www.adlibris.com/se/product.aspx?isbn=1931841098&s=1 http://www.adlibris.com/se/product.aspx?isbn=1592003494&s=1 http://www.adlibris.com/se/product.aspx?isbn=159200315X&s=1 http://www.adlibris.com/se/product.aspx?isbn=1584504587&s=1 I was wondering if any of those books is worth reading or if there is any of them that is absolutely not worth reading or if any of them is outdated somehow? When coding directx is a secondary api like win api or sdl used too? Is it a requirement to learn windows api when coding directx? I'm completely new to directx and don't want to make a mistake, that's why i'm asking many stupid questions, thank you.

Well, there are many tutorials / articles available about writing SDL+OGL programs, to name just a few:

And of course, [google]
