SaveUserData .X Files

Douse anyone know how to get the SaveUserDate functionality working when saving .x files. I can see what its trying to do but i just cant get it to work. I have looked and looked online and i am now convinced i am the only person on the earth who is even trying to get this functionality to work. i am using the.. Mesh.SaveHierarchyToFile(p_MeshLocation,p_MeshFlags,l_RenderDevice,new AllocateHierarchyDerived(),new mySaveData); If anyone has any info on this then please let me know. Thanks

You have to derive a class from ID3DXSaveUserData, implementing each method as you need. Those methods will be called back as D3DX saves the mesh, allowing you to specify additional data in various parts of the .x file / mesh hierarchy, which you can load again later with the ID3DXLoadUserData interface.
