[java] Com Port - Barcode scanner

Can anyone tell me what I can use to communicate with a barcode scanner that uses the com port? I read about javax.comm but it says its only for linux and solaris, does it also work for windows? Any help would be great.

This is a game development forum, I don't think you'll find much useful information around here.. try posting on the Sun's official Java forums.

BTW, a quick search at souceforge.net might also help you, if you haven't done that yet.
