DepthStencil Cube Texture?

Hello, somehow I was under the impression that newer nvidia cards support depthstencil cube textures. Was I wrong?

Yes, you were. This may appear with dx10 hardware, and even if not, you could implement them yourself.

I use hardware depth stencil maps for the shadows casted by my spotlight.
For a pointlight I would need a cube map.
As ds cubemaps are not supported, does this mean, that I need 2 quite different methods for spot/point-lights?
