GLSL shader compile time-out

When using a lot of nested loops, the compiler seems to abort after a certain amount of time. The shader object is then set to NULL. Is there any way to increase the amount of time GLSL will wait before it aborts the compile process?

are you sure that you are not running out of instruction slots ? what is the exact error that the compiler gives ?

It doesn't seem to be failing like a normal compilation error. The shader log contains no information, whereas it does when I intentionally make a typo.

It could very well be instruction limits. Thank you for pointing that out.
