I didn't know we were here to entertain you. Why don't you say something original yourself? Can you dance and sing for us too?
Actually I was hoping for more sardonicism and play on words, since that's pretty much what you get whenever you mention "Bush", "Fox News", or "Rush Limbaugh" to a liberal, and "BBC", "France", or "John Kerry" to a conservative. It was my impression that this thread was supposed to highlight the kind of extreme wackos that exist in the world, yet somehow it turned into another Fox News bash-a-thon (the first and last of its kind I'm sure).
Again, I didn't know we were here to entertain you. It looks as if you'll have to get your fix of sardonicism and word play elewhere.
If you read the original post, you'll see it said nothing about highlighting the extreme wackos of the world. The writer hoped that people that didn't support the troops didn't agree with the Phelps woman. And others connected her and her cult with anti-war protesters as if to suggest that all anti-war protesters were as wacko as that woman. The fact is that wasn't the first time that Hannity mentioned the Phelps cult [1], and not the first time he's used them to smear the "anti-war left" as he put it.

How can you fault a news organization (here it comes) for bringing someone onto their show? Just because they have some extreme views, you shoot the messenger? I'm actually glad they brought her on, so we can all see how crazy people are in this country. How are we supposed to worry about the world's problems when we have enough at home?
Is Fox really a news organization or is it just a perception management front for the Whitehouse? There are 300 million Americans and they had to bring that woman on the show? 300,000 protested the war in Manhattan alone yesterday and how many of them did Faux invite onto on their shows? A real news organization would not have given that woman studio air time to spew her hatred. Is Heraldo going to put on a Klan show next? There was an Aryan Nation convention last week, will Hannity bring them on too? That's not news, that's tabloid sensationalism. FauxNews is developing Orwell's "Two Minute's Hate" - look at how unified Hannity and Colmes were in their responses to that cult woman? Look at how unified the responses here were. Look at how emotionally violent they were.

The Earth is our home too. The world's problems are ours too.
