I just finished a computer science course that taught me about all of these data structures. I know how to use them in theory, and how to use them in Java. Are these data structures defined in C++ as well? Maybe in the std namespace?

The computer course only teaches u how to use them? They don't teach you how to implement them? Most of the data structures are implemented in the standard template library of c++ thou, so usually u don't need to write them unless u have some specific needs that are not handled by the STL, or u need a more customised or leaner structures.

They're in the std namespace.

You need to #include <list>, #include <map>, etc... to gain access to them.

Hope this helps
