I need to write a huge game, tonight!

Is this for some kind of college project? ... if so, I'm guessing you need to hand it in tomorrow! :) ... In that case, I would suggest using something graphical like Flash as it looks like more of the work has been done. (Showing something graphical always wins over people. :)

As you don't have much time, I would work first on getting something up on screen that looks like a partly finished game. Rather than bothering with behind the scenes details which people will not see when they try to interact with the game

I've never heard of this game ... is this the one? ... if so, that page looks like its got some simplified rules for the game? ... http://www.sjgames.com/munchkin/game/fastplay.html
If you get time to put in rules, then I would focus on covering a simple version of these rules above.

The key to hitting a deadline is knowing what work you can discard!. Only do the work that looks like you have done some work! :)

Good luck!

I would use Ogre for rendering.
Winsockets for the network part. Keep the simplest network architecture (one client acts as host, and the other ones connect to it).

Make sure the game logic works properly. I would find this to be the most difficult part, especially if its a game I never heard of.

Ogre for rendering a card game? That's using a sledge hammer for a thumbtack!

Go with the Flash, as it gives you the graphics you need.
It's not like it matters, I think the time limit is up now.
So ... did you get it done?
