hi, looking for suggestions what would be in a good game curriculum. Have come up with this. Any suggeztions or comments ? 1. 3d animation and models 2. AI, flocking, etc 3. Physics simulation 4. Game Engine 5. game programming, C++, directx and openGL 6. sound 7. maya and 3dsmax 8. game design 9. multiplayer networked games 10. console games, kernel debugging - xbox, playstation 11. mobile gaming 12. user interface design 13. game development - business, marketing, play testing, legal issues 14. virtual environments Thanks.

You are going to need to include at least some generic software development material such as UML and OO design. Aprt from that it looks ok but more detail is needed such as the length of course, and what is going to be covered in each area.

I assume this is for game *programmers*?

If so, where's the comp. science stuff? The actual programming (not learning DirectX/OGL, but learning *programming*)? Algorithms and data structures?

You might want to elaborate a bit on what and who it's for.

These courses need ONLY be specifically game related since
the assumption is what courses do you need for some one who
already knows ALL the standard computer science stuff like
algorithms and C++/C#
