Shadow artifacts

Hi! I'm using cube maps to render shadows in my scene. Everything works fine except one thing. There are strange artifacts visible. Here is a screenshot of what I mean: I know that shadow mapping requires biasing the value stored in the shadow map. However I don't do that. When I bias the value a bit the artifacts are less visble but they're still there. When I bias the value a little more the shadow becomes incorrect. I based my application on javacooldude's Stained Shadow Maps demo. Can anybody help?

not much u can do except for bias
u should also only render the back faces (from lights viewpoing) into the shadowmap
