I am currently learning to program from Maneesh Sethi's book Game Programming for Teens, which teaches you how to program in Basic Plus. However, I want to go to a college or some place where I can learn how to program in c++ etc. and I can actually start making games and learning everything about game development. I live in California. Los Angeles to be exact. I have seen sites like the game institute site and guildhall and I would like to go to one of those, yet it sounds to me like you have to have experience to go to one of them. Unfotunately, that's something I don't have yet. Is this true? If not, what school would you recommend that's near me. If there isn't a good one. Which school would you recommend period. ps. Please tell me whether you have gone to that school urself or not.

There are several threads of this nature on this forum already, I recommend you look around a bit and read some of them.
