I dont think it is. I tried indtalling the express versions on my old windows install and it picked up on me not having them. I havn't noticed any formal check on the .NET 2005 Professional.

sp2 is a requirement for visual studio 2005(all versions). i also highly recommend installing sp2 if you have a pc running windows xp connected to the internet.

All sp2 does is slow my computer down.

I've taken all the security measures needed to have WinXP without sp2, so no need to install it. Unless you have other reasons.

I tried the ways on that, but for some reason none worked.

But I did find another solution here: http://spaces.msn.com/mahen21/PersonalSpace.aspx?_c11_blogpart_blogpart=blogview&_c=blogpart&partqs=amonth%3d8%26ayear%3d2005

of course sp2 slows down your pc. hell, it doesn't even install, does it?

you have this massive trail complete with email addresses, aim screen name, etc. this is only a tiny bit of it.

i see you discovered the wonders of torrents in 2004.
