A long time ago i learned to hybrid DD and D3D on luckys site. I found this very useful and now i'm wondering what i need to do to draw something on the screen(xwd, ywd) after finishing a D3D scene. I disable my z buffer and i try to mess around with the matrixes for this part of the rendering, but it doesn't look right. Can anybody tell me how to draw 2D shapes with my Device after it has done D3D rendering? Thanks in advance!

You can just use transformed vertices, and disable z-tests. I don't remember exactly how to do it in DX7, but look into D3DFVF_XYZW (transformed vertex FVF).
