Getting OpenGL 2.0 or 1.4
Hi guys,
I dabbling around with openGL game programming, and wanted to get into shader programming. I need to download and install the latest version of opengl and header files - OpenGL 1.4 i believe is the latest available version, while 2.0 is as yet simply a specification. I am working on a Windows XP system.
Thanks a lot guys.

Grab glext.h and wglext.h, and then you can use extensions.
Nice Link for you :)
Also some libraries ease this process (glew and glee)

Like the previous posters said, all you need to use new versions of OpenGL is new drivers for your video card; you don't need to separately download a new OpenGL library. On Windows you will still need to access everything past 1.1 as an extension so you will need some way of loading extensions as well. For that you need the extension headers (glext.h and wglext.h/glxext.h) or you can use an extension loading library such as GLee or GLEW and skip the annoyance of manually loading them.
