I have a game that uses alpha blending to blend textures on a terrain. I am testing deployment on a laptop that has an intel extreme 2 graphics chipset. The texture blending does not seem to work. What DXCap governs this ability? In the caps viewer, all the texture ops seem to be ok, d3dptexturecaps_alpha is also 'yes', and all the d3dpcmpcaps look good. Pretty sure it's not the code as works fine on my thinkpad and my desktop. Thanks Rael

You might require a multitexture extension. I don't know what the DirectX version would be, but to do this in GL you'd need the multitexture extension for sure.

Ah! I found the problem. Turns out I had some extra un-needed texture stages on my terrain.

Just goes to show it's worth testing deployment on a wide variety of machines.

Thanks!
